COMiTRON > jive.

Come one, come all to the most epic musical experience in all the sad and economically depressed land. Gather around my rhythmic zion and prove yourself as a true believer in the funk. This, my friends, is a formal proclamation of the festivity existing only in my vivid imagination as COMiTRON. 4 days of music-induced mayhem to free your soul and swing your hips like we all know you wanna. The set list goes as follows...

DAY ONE: ROCK (your face off)

To begin the ragefest, we start with some "sex on fire" by the erogenous Kings of Leon. They bleed over into some "read my mind" action from The Killers and later on Coldplay dazzles us with new, harder versions of songs off "Viva La Vida" featuring Paramore lead singer, Hayley Williams. Jack's Mannequin makes an appearance with Tommy Lee on the drums and massive amounts of crowd surfing ensues. Everyone thinks the show's over when Cake, Blessid Union, Guster, and Slightly Stoopid circle up and perform a ridiculously awesome rendition of Annie Lennox's "walkin on broken glass", when an enormous spacecraft descends into the crowd. The members of Cobra Starship catapult into the masses and take over the venue, transforming it into the most electric dance party of all time.

DAY TWO: JAZZ (it up nicely)

The show gets off to a rough start, as Amy Winehouse stumbles her way onstage (all part of her charm) and belts out "Back to Black". John Mayer and Herbie Hancock team up for a perfectly plucky and plunky "Stitched up". Norah Jones and John Legend throw in their two cents, but the real star is Madeleine Peyroux, who glides across the stage in an interperetive ballet. Michael Buble then brings the house down with "At Last".

DAY THREE: HIP-HOP (she-walla-walla)
I'm not going to act like I know a lot about hip-hop
-Shwayze
-Lil Wayne
-Asher Roth
-with dance performances by Quest Crew and Beat Freaks of America's Best Dance Crew

DAY FOUR: TIME TRAVEL (me back to where I belong)
This category was the free for all, so it's only fitting that I fell into the fluid flow of freedom (alliteration anyone?). I'm talking Age of Aquarius, woodstock, new age hippie love here. This is my time. As far as the music is concerned, we must dip into the past and do some heavy resurrecting from beyond the grave. The beatles will headline of course, playing not one chunk set, but intermittently throughout the day. Also, John Lennon will MC the event with his witty repartee while Yoko Ono makes shadow puppets with the stage lights. The Last Waltz of The Band will be re-created, including all the original players (Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, etc.) Janis Joplin and Jimi hendrix will duet on some triumphant covers of contemporary songs, making them 5,000 times better. Because really it's not what you play, but certainly how you play it. and then there's The Who.

And as Paul McCarteny lays his hands down on the piano for the final song, the skies open up and drop down a live rain, cleansing the crowd as they slowly begin to levitate to an epic "Let it Be".

THE END.

p.s.- if it were a 5 day affair, the last would be dedicated solely to MGMT.
